Dr. Christina Gasper is a board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. 

Dr. Gasper earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she conducted research and published in high impact, peer reviewed journals. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University (NYU), graduating with multiple academic honors.

She went on to complete a hospital-based general practice residency, where she gained extensive experience treating medically complex patients and performing hospital dentistry and conscious and general sedation. Dr. Gasper then completed a highly competitive three-year specialty program in Periodontics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she also earned a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences and further training in sedation.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Gasper specializes in advanced periodontal care, dental implant surgery, bone grafting/ridge augmentation, periodontal (gum) disease treatment, cosmetic gum lifting and contouring, and soft tissue augmentation/connective tissue grafting.  The treatments she provides are designed to restore both oral health and confident smiles.

Dr. Gasper is widely recognized for her expertise in cosmetic gum lifting procedures and for her skill in soft tissue augmentation procedures and connective tissue grafting performed with minimally invasive methods. Additionally, she is known for her excellence and her extensive experience in implant dentistry with consistently high success rates, as well as in bone grafting/ridge augmentation, and periodontal pocket reduction surgery. For patients with periodontal disease, Dr. Gasper’s treatment philosophy begins with conservative, non-surgical care with a unique approach that often eliminates the need for surgical pocket reduction. In order to deliver the most optimal outcomes for her patients, Dr. Gasper utilizes her distinctive, proprietary approach across both surgical and non-surgical treatments. 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Gasper is committed to collaboration and continuing education. She has led a Spear Study Club, working closely with referring dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. She values clear, consistent, and transparent communication with referring providers, colleagues, and patients alike, fostering a collaborative, team-based approach to comprehensive care. By integrating the latest advancements in treatment with her depth of knowledge and experience, she is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for her patients.

Dr. Gasper is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the California Society of Periodontists, and the San Francisco Dental Society. 

Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, strength training, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
